Presented in partnership with Sydney Road Street Party and Melbourne Art Fair's PROJECT ROOMS initiative.
Join exhibiting artist Ravi Avasti and curator Emma Thomson for a gentle afternoon of making in the Correspondences exhibition space. The community making takes place within the This Way, That Way exhibition – a group presentation examining thinking in its full richness: reason and intuition, memory and imagination. Inspired by Edwin A. Abbott's eccentric sci-fi novella Flatland (1884), the exhibition features new works by Ali McCann, Ravi Avasti, Fia Fiell and Sekar Sari, alongside historical sculpture works by Yoko Ozawa and Ruby Brown.
Attendance is free, and all materials will be provided. Bookings are essential.
Places at the making table are limited to 10 people at a time, for 30 minutes. If it's fully booked when you arrive, explore the exhibition and have a cup of tea while you wait. If there’s space, linger a little longer.
