Warsaw Village Band (Poland)

From young enthusiasts to mature minded musicians

Formed by friends in 1997, Warsaw Village Band is living proof that despite history and conditions, Eastern Europe can bring great things to the global village.

After a few years on Polish folk stages and recording their first album they hit the international stage and quickly went from unknown to a world class act. In 2004 they won a BBC Radio 3 award, a European Broadcasting Union award and were nominated for a World Music Grammy.

It’s hard to describe the music of Warsaw Village Band, but it’s definitely modern music, played by modern people, inspired by tradition, for this and generations to follow.
