Brunswick Music Festival begins with a bang on Sunday 4 March when Sydney Road transforms into a heaving extravaganza of sounds, smells and sights. Get down to Melbourne’s biggest street party for the annual celebration of the best of Brunswick – the music, the people and the traders. On six stages, between Union Street and Victoria Street, an epic two hundred artists will get you swinging to the sweet sounds of gospel, Latin, soul, gypsy jazz, blues, hip hop, reggae, folk and rock. There is bound to be something to suit any taste! The pavement will be packed with food stalls cooking up tasty treats, an abundance of market stalls selling wonderful wares and the Brunswick Bitter bars will be serving a selection of sumptuous beverages.
On the day, wander down to Blak Dot Gallery for their first ever Artists Market, showcasing Kulture including contemporary and customary art practitioners, designers and makers from local Indigenous nations and international Indigenous communities.
You can also catch live music all day at Brunswick’s legendary local venues: The Brunswick Green, The Brunswick Hotel, The Penny Black, The Retreat Hotel and The Spotted Mallard.
Help us cut down on single-use plastic water bottles! BYO water bottle and refill at water stations located along the street.
