Moreland City Council presents The Victorian Concert Orchestra.

The Victorian Concert Orchestra has been serving the people of Victoria for over 80 years, and other than the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra it is Australia’s longest standing touring orchestra. Under the dynamic leadership of conductor Joannes Roose, the orchestra has gone on to bigger and greater things.

As Victoria’s leading concert orchestra to travel and perform to rural Victorians, the Victorian Concert Orchestra has been providing first class musical entertainment to people of all ages and tastes since 1926.

The appeal of the orchestra to young and old rests on the careful programming that covers the classical and popular repertoire presented in an egalitarian manner so that there is true entertainment for all.

They are a 50 strong full symphonic orchestra and will perform a wide variety of works, from popular classics and light opera to old favourites and excerpts from modern musicals, featuring songs by professional soloists. The soloists include Ian Cousins – Baritone, Jane O’Toole – Soprano and Raymond Khong – Tenor.
