John and Rick Brewster are founding members and major
songwriters of the legendary Angels, one of Australia's
most successful and much loved rock bands. In 2008 the renowned
songwriting team Brewster/ Neeson/ Brewster was inducted into
the Australian Songwriter Association (ASA) Hall of Fame.
The Brewster Brothers' is a break away project which
has become a vehicle for the brothers to explore their acoustic
roots and early influences, these influences include jug,
early blues, jazz and even some of Rick's early classical
piano training. Their excellent song writing skills still
take centre stage, with top class instrumental skills and
arrangements.
Expanding now to The Brewster Brothers Trio with the addition
of multi-instrumentalist Paul Robert Burton, the Brewster
Brothers are redefining the limitations of contemporary live
musical performance. In the last three years they have recorded
three CD's, four video clips, played over 250 live ticket
shows, over 20 national festivals, two overseas appearances
and with the international release of their new studio album
"Wounded Healer".

To open the show the amazing, eclectic, Broderick Smith,
an outstanding singer, writer, wit and raconteur. Broderick
has a wonderful way with words, can be subtle and then not
so, dry and laconic, and then lines of gentle and beautiful
imagery, tender and loving moments woven into his stories.
He is a legendary harp player, recently sharing Backsliders
harp duties with Ian Collard but more famously from his Big
Combo, and the Dingoes who pioneered the Australian country
rock explosion. And forget not Broderick's fabulous singing,
one of the great vocals in Australian music, unique and totally
identifiable.
