GENTICORUM
Genticorum are fast becoming one the most sought after proponents of Canada’s Quebecois musical culture firmly rooted in the soil of their native land. This energetic and original traditional ‘power trio’ also incorporates the dynamism of today’s North American and European folk cultures into their music. Weaving wooden flute, fiddle, acoustic guitar, jaw harp, bass and foot percussion with strong vocal harmonies, they produce a brilliant tapestry which gives them their distinctive native sound. Their outstanding performances at the 05/06 Woodford Folk Festival created an immense reaction, and prompted their return for a full blown Australian tour.
