Fitzgerald Family Band – The Fitzgerald family arrived in Melbourne in 1964 after immigrating from their family home near Bodyke in Co. Clare. (Just a short distance from Tulla, the birth place of Martin Hayes). The family always had ‘the music’, and eldest son Joe was already a brilliant and highly respected accordion player before they left Ireland. We are delighted to welcome Eileen, Joe, Paddy, John and Jimmy to keep the Clare flag flying and open this year’s Louis McManus Memorial Concert.
