Back by popular demand, in 2007 Eric Bogle's was the fastest selling show in the festival's 20 year history. There's rumour that Eric is contemplating retirement (in the next 10 years) so be sure to book early. He's by way of a wee phenomenon in the world of acoustic and folk music. His songs have been performed and recorded by countless artists all over the world; they've been changed, purloined, coveted, punked, murdered, and anointed. His songs are sung with passion and conviction in sessions all over the world and in many different tongues.As a performer he's a consummate professional, a quick wit spread through his serious commentary to set up his songs perfectly.

He also has the advantage of having a mighty musician backing him up, his long time friend and string buster John Munro on mandolin, guitar and vocals. John has been playing with Eric for much of his 25 year career, string player extraordinaire, he writes his own excellent songs and leads his own band, and is one of Australia's most sensitive accompanying musicians. It's a great show as always, entertaining, moving, and generous.
