The 2006 Brunswick Music Festival will start after the conclusion of the Commonwealth Games, and will run from 30 March to 9 April and as usual will present a concert series of quality and diversity. Some of the confirmed acts for 2006 are:

The Cause: The Chae Brighton Fund
On the 8/7/1995 Terri-Lee Brighton gave birth to Chae & Anthony Brighton. She was only 6 months into her pregnancy. Both boys were very sick and immediately put on high amounts of oxygen. Two months later she lost Anthony. Chae had spent 4-6months in hospital before coming home. Due to the high amounts of oxygen Chae has suffered permanent damage to his eyes. Chae has just turned 10 and is blind in his right eye and has lost full vision in his left eye. He is now in grade 3 but by the time he reaches grade 4,5,6 it will be more challenging. The purpose of raising funds is to make sure he is prepared with the right tools for now and the future. Terri-Lee is part of a big koori community who all support this cause.
