  Sunday 25 March 2012 8.00pm Booking No. 23 $38/$30 Brunswick Town Hall Doors Open: 7.15pm KRYSTLE WARREN After years busking and hustling in Kansas City, New York and Paris, Missouri-born singer-songwriter Krystle Warren is suddenly attracting attention both from the industry, her peers and an ever growing fan base. A startling performance last year on Later With Jools Holland, as well as plaudits from Rufus Wainwright and kd lang have certainly helped the cause. There's no doubt Krystle is that rarest of all, an original and however media try to put her in a compartment she quietly kicks down the door down and slips into the next. Her recent Australian appearances last November in the Joe Boyd produced show 'Way to Blue: the songs of Nick Drake' blew everybody away with her intensity, her amazing vocal range and her consummate singing skills. She was undoubtedly the hit of the show. The Brunswick Music Festival is delighted to present Krystle in the closing show of the 2012 festival. Book early this will sell out. Since then this alt- folk songstress has taken the time to grow her craft, spitting her time between NYC & Melbourne. 2010 saw Marta open for U.S. band Vinyl Station across the Midwest before opening for David Cassidy in Phoenix, AZ. Marta then went on to tour the European folk circuit including a concert with The Gala Orchestra of Milan in the historical Teatro di Sociale Lecco, Italy. Her newly released Rebel Baby was co-produced with Jason Mercer (Ani DiFranco & Ron Sexsmith). Marta's moody writing style has gained her attention in the Film & Television industry with placements in several North American film projects.
